Holidays Is Over

Taking a pic with poinsettias before mom store them. I just realized that Holidays are really over now. My 2-week vacation from school is now over too. Classes will resume again tomorrow and i'm not yet ready to wake up early again -.- But anyway, thanks for my Belle de Jour planner, for it helps me a lot on my day to day activities. It helps me not to forget the important tasks I need to do everyday. It also inspires me to write and doodle which helps me to relieve my stress.

I'm not good in doodling but im trying to improve my skills. :)

Now playing: Yellow By Coldplay. One of my favorite songs. It's a relaxing and an amazing song, very nice voice from their vocalist Chris Martin.

Hamsterrific

This is my pet Egg, a male syrian hamster. I bought him last December 21,2012 at the pet shop near my dormitory. I was encouraged to pet hamsters because a classmate of mine gave me one, her name is hamham.

I'm from Philippines and I don't know if the hamsters here are just similar as yours, or yours are more special. I'm a newbie when it comes to petting hamsters. He doesn't have his permanent cage YET but i'm saving to buy them a nice bin. He's so cute and adorable, relieves my stress. But he always escape his cage, he is the ultimate escape master. Roaming our house during at night, I don't know what kind of adventures he had during those times. He always sleeps with his mouth open.

Maybe he is exhausted from his adventures. Good thing our house is only small and I always find him when he escapes.

Name: Egg
Gender: Male
Breed: Syrian
Age: 2 months (based on the woman on the pet store)
Color: White and brown
Interests: Eating, escaping his cage, having adventures, rolling, sleeping.
Favorite food: Sunflower seeds

Greek Cuisine

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

These are the different Greek Cuisines we cooked on our International Cuisine class.

I noticed about Greek cuisine is they often used yogurt in cooking their food.

It looks like a lasagna. But sorry I dont like the taste of an eggplant.

Their staple food is the Pita bread which is prepared in different ways.

Since Greece is near the coastline, their cuisine is rich in seafoods.

Their diet is mostly consist of seafoods. That's why it is healthy.

Panoramic View

A panoramic view of the Holy Angel University Campus. In the left side is the MGN building which is used by the Nursing and IT Students. Near the MGN is the Graduate School building (the one that is under construction) where the CBA students will transfer soon. And the white one which looks like a spaceship is the University Chapel where the university holds its masses.

My deepest condolences for the victims of the Connecticut gun rampage

Just heard the shocking news a while ago about the Connecticut gun rampage. My deepest sympathy for all the victims of the gun rampage, especially for those innocent children. Let us pray for their souls and may they rest in peace.

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.

Apple Mangoes

Fresh Mangoes from our mango tree.
Because we have a not-quite-huge backyard and my parents love planting, we have a lot of fruit bearing trees in our backyard like avocado, banana, sinegwelas, santol, langka, native cherry and ofcourse our favorite, mango tree. All in all we have 6 apple-mango trees in our backyard. All produces fruits during the first 6 months of the year.
I am a certified mango-holic that's why I also like cooking bagoong or shrimp paste which is the perfect partner for the mango fruit.

An Early Christmas Gift From Paris to Pureza

First of all I wanna greet you an advance Merry Christmas. Tomorrow is the start of Simbang Gabi which is a devotional nine day series of masses here in the Philippines for the anticipation of Christmas. There is a saying that when you complete the nine day masses, your Christmas wish will be surely granted.

I just got home today from my dorm in Angeles City and I just want to blog about this parcel I received last Wednesday from Miss Cynthia from -.fromparistopureza.com. This is the one I was talking about on my previous post which is the Belle de Jour Planner I won from the blog giveaway of Miss Cynthia.

I was in the school when my mom texted me that the package I had been waiting for has arrived. I was so happy when I read the text message. It certainly made my day. The news made me so excited to go home. When I got home, I immediately unwrapped the parcel here it is, My 2013 BDJ Power Planner:

I love the inspirational quote on the first page.
"When you get overwhelmed, take a deep breathe and take it one step at a time. Mile by mile, life's a trial. Yard by yard, life is hard. But inch by inch, life is a cinch."

Here is the BDJ lifestyle card that serves as a membership card to gain access to all BDJ events throughout the year 2013.

And here are some of the coupons attached on the planner:

I want to thank Miss Cynthia Renard and Belle de Jour for this early Christmas gift. And also to my family who always inspire me to do my best and to achive my goals in life. The BDJ planner is a great tool to start my year right. I will maximize the use of the planner by filling it with my goals and dreams in life.

Good plans shape good decisions. That's why good planning helps to make elusive dreams come true.
