Mabolo Fruit

Good Morning. Today I wanna shared with you guys one of the endangered fruits here in the Philippines which is the Mabolo fruit.
Mabolo or Velvet Apple is the Filipino version of the fruit Persimmon. It is a native fruit here in the Philippines. The fruit is a good source of iron and calcium and also a good source of vitamin B. The skin of the mabolo fruit is red in color and is hairy that can be irritating to the sensitive skin. The skin also produce the cheese-like odor. When you slice the fruit, it is white inside and looks like an apple. The fruit has a mild, sweet taste flavor that suggest a banana-flavored apple.
Mostly, Mabolo trees can be found on different barrios in the Philippines since it is already an endangered tree.
